[x+1] Q&A with Jeremy Bieger about UberTags Acquisition
This week, [x+1] announced the acquisition of tag management
leader UberTags. The acquisition provides important capabilities that expand
our position as the leading digital marketing hub and data management platform
(DMP). To outline the details and benefits of this acquisition, David Skinner,
[x+1]’s senior vice president of business and corporate development, sat down
with UberTags CEO Jeremy Bieger, who will be joining [x+1] as vice president of client solutions.
David Skinner: Can you tell us more about what UberTags does, and why
this acquisition is a natural fit for [x+1]?
Jeremy Bieger:
Sure. UberTags is a tag management company that helps clients drive conversion
rate, user satisfaction and customer insights with our real-time Tag Management
System. We make things simple for marketers by replacing dozens of third-party
tags with a single UberTag. Instead of managing multiple tag systems, all tag
launches and edits are done in real-time through our intuitive tag management
console.
Our technology is a perfect complement for [x+1] because it
is naturally multi-channel, multi-platform and multi-vendor, just like the
Origin platform. With this acquisition, [x+1] users will be able to manage
digital operations more efficiently, improve website performance and determine
attribution more accurately, all through the Origin platform. The [x+1] digital
marketing hub approach is the only one that allows marketers to create
consistent customer experiences through paid- and owned-media channels, and the
inclusion of UberTags’ tag management integrates critical functions directly
into the [x+1] platform.
DS: What were the main reasons [x+1] decided to work with UberTags?
JB: UberTags has
always been a clear leader in the tag management category for some time. This
has been demonstrated by the traction we’ve enjoyed in the marketplace and the
success of our clients. We’re deployed on hundreds of sites including major
brands like Sony, The Limited and Cigna. Add to that the fact that it is an
incredibly intuitive system. And because UberTags can support data collection
and outbound decisions – it’s a complete solution that can be deployed quickly
and easily and maps seamlessly to the [x+1] Origin architecture. The whole
thing makes perfect sense.
DS: What will your new role at [x+1] be?
JB: I am taking
on the role of vice president of client solutions at [x+1]. I am incredibly
excited to be joining a company that is committed to providing the features and
capabilities enterprise marketers depend on, a commitment this acquisition
affirms. I will have the responsibility of overseeing the integration of UberTags with Origin.
DS: Any closing comments?
JB: Of course!
Just to reiterate what’s happening and why, [x+1] has acquired UberTags because
our technology helps expand [x+1]’s whole digital marketing hub strategy. The
addition of UberTags will let everyone in the [x+1] ecosystem manage their
operations more efficiently. They’ll be able to track their audiences more
easily and determine attribution more accurately.
This whole digital marketing thing can seem complicated, but
[x+1] continues to demonstrate that there are simple and effective ways to
deliver the experience customers have come to expect through all paid and owned
media channels. I’m excited to be a part of what’s happening here.
DS: We’re looking forward to having you on the team.
